The purpose of this web site is to introduce our company and products to professional wholesalers and mineral dealers. Among other minerals from Africa, we wholesale Cactus Quartz from South Africa. We also wholesale Spirit Quartz, from the same mines in South Africa.

Different names have been given to this relatively new quartz from the Magalisberg area in Guateng, South Africa. The name Cactus Quartz is an accurate description, being spiny in appearance and touch.

Spirit quartz or Cactus Quartz can be found in various forms. Its various names, range from Spirit Quartz to Cactus Quartz, Pineapple Quartz, Shadow Cactus, Angel Quartz, Porcupine Quartz and Fairy Quartz. All these different names refer to different colors, appearances and properties. Its color varies from clear to lilac, salmon, Citrine, Amethyst, and many combinations of these and other colors. All varieties of this quartz are characterized by the smaller crystals that envelop the shaft of the main crystals

Our company, From Africa, is one of the few companies present in the mining areas, cooperating with members of the local village who help us with the mining and the processing activities. Without the partnership of these local villagers we would not be able to obtain the Cactus Quartz from the mountains in the qualities and quantities needed to wholesale Cactus Quartz.

In our pictures on this page you would appreciate the different formations. Through years of wholesaling Cactus Quartz and also wholesaling Spirit Quartz we have realize that  the preferred type of Cactus Quartz is the lilac, mauve Amethyst modality.  Its deep, intense color and the length of is fingers characterize this type of Cactus Quartz. 

Please note that  pieces are not stained by "rust" or dirt spots but what often happens is that the amethyst has Citrine growing within and around the points, giving them their orange/gold speckling.

From the metaphysical point of view, this amethyst Quartz has also been called Spirit Quartz, referring to its metaphysical qualities, those of the amethyst, providing a very gentle, light and healing energy.  

If your clients do any kind of energy work, light work or healing, this special crystal is a much-needed addition to their collection of tools. It can be used in meditation to provide insights to family and/or community problems.
